Family-Bonds  is dealing with the family picture while attempting to transform my family (that isn´t too interested in art but at least equally important in my life) into art and to include them in the artistic process. The crucial thing that eventually makes us a family is not so much the depiction which creates a visual bond through the somehow hilarious headbands but the fact that my family and after all my Dad agreed to join this project for the sake of love. 

The bonds are furthermore a metaphor for bonds that hold a family together but also create a kind of dependance and last but not least for the gang we represent where each of us has the leading part once and cares for the others. My family becomes something like superheroes with the power of love.

"Family-Bonds" was awarded the Diesel New Art Award Austria (Category Photo) 2007 whose jury included amongst others artist Erwin Wurm.
