Part of the European project "Youth in the Countryside"
„Being“ was photographed in a scouts-camp and the title is derived from the aspect that seemed most striking to me: The being of the young girls and boys who are living in and with nature for a week leaving everything that´s connecting them with civilization, leaving everything that´s usually important to be part of the global youth and to stay up to date.
The kids are therefore even more confronted with their own being as there is no dull distraction like computer games, tv. etc...They have to interact with others instead and deal with the often close relationship that is arising during that intense time. So it´s also about intimacy and the relationship between the kids and nature as well as the relationship to one´s own person.
